评估阅读, 写作, 和数学 skills is part of the application and class registration processes at Ivy Tech. The assessment step helps us understand your college readiness and helps us make sure the classes you take are the right fit for you.
We can measure where your skills are currently in several different ways, 包括通过行为, 坐, 或P坐分数, 高中GPA, 你以前获得的大学学分, taking an assessment (via our 知识的评估 tool in MyIvy), 或者参加必要的课程. Review the options below to help you decide which path you'd like to take to meet the assessment requirement.

在 申请过程 在你注册课程之前, you'll be asked to upload documentation that can assess your readiness for college-level coursework. 我们特别需要知道你现在读到哪里了, 写作, 和数学 skills in order to place you into coursework that is appropriate for your skill level. One way you can do this is to submit test scores or transcripts.

If you don’t have any of the scores or documents listed on the left, 或者你的分数没有达到最低要求, 别担心. 常春藤理工学院致力于帮助你成功! You can assess for success by evaluating your skills with our 知识的评估.
知识的评估 is a free web-based tool that helps gauge your skills in reading, 写作, 和数学. 在你完成评估之后, you will have a chance to improve your scores through a customized Study Path to better prepare you for courses.
作为评估的一部分, you will take a diagnostic test in math and/or 英语 based on the requirements of your academic program. If you reach the target score after taking the diagnostic, you are ready to register for your course!
如果你不能达到及格分数, 我们鼓励你重新学习并参加评估. You can take it as many times as you need; however, if you wish to stop studying or taking the 知识的评估, you can also explore Option 3 and enroll in corequisite courses.

course is a class you take at the same time as another course that provides related academic support. 例如, in your first year you may take a college-level math and 英语 course, along with a concurrent course that offers support in those subjects.

We’ll also accept a digital photo of your transcripts and test scores—although the following items must be clearly visible:

- Enter your date of birth and the email address you submitted on your application to have a link to your saved application emailed to you.
